Ripley Police Department

The Ripley Police Department currently consists of 5 full time officers, 3 part time officers, and 4 auxiliary officers.  We currently cover 3 square miles within our jurisdiction.  

Full Time Officers

Chief Harvey Bowman:  Harvey has over 27 years of experience in law enforcement.  Harvey has been with the Department since 1980 and Chief since 1988.

Captain Don Newman:  Don has over 30 years of experience in law enforcement.  Don has been with the Department since 1987 and was promoted to Captain in 2008.

Sergeant  Adam Pennington:  Adam has over 10 years of experience in law enforcement.  Adam has been with the Department since 2002 and was promoted to Sergeant in May of 2009.  Adam handles in-service training for the Department.  Adam also maintains this website.

Patrolman Mark Kendall:  Mark has been with the department since 2009.  Mark has over 17 years of experience in law enforcement.  Mark is also an OPOTC instructor in self-defense tactics. 

Patrolman/K-9 Handler Tim Whyte:  Tim has been with the department since 2009.  Time has over 19 years of experience.  Tim is the department's K-9 handler.  Tim has been a certified K-9 handler since 1998.
